COMPANY HISTORY 

Hunter Properties has been providing management services to property owners in North County since 1970. Former owners of Hunter Properties have been Carl Calvert and Cheryl Phibbs, both long-time fixtures in North County Real Estate.

Kelly Douglass is a licensed Real Estate Broker and Property Manager. She was employed by Hunter Properties in 1990 and eventually purchased the company in 2000. Kelly moved to North County in 1985 and has remained a local resident since.

Bruce Douglass joined Hunter Properties in 2004, making Hunter Properties a true family run business. Bruce is a graduate of UCSD and the University of San Diego School of Law. He is also a member of the California Bar. His background and experience is an asset to our business. Bruce looks forward to assisting you with all of your maintenance needs or questions.

Kelly’s assistant, Laura Davis, has been a part of the Hunter Properties team since 2002. She started off in the company as an administrative assistant and was promoted to Assistant to Property Manager. Having been raised in Encinitas, Laura is very familiar with our properties and the North County coastal area. Laura will be of assistance to you with any questions or matters you have regarding your tenants or our management.

Nancy Hoover is our main bookkeeper, facilitator, and an essential member of the Hunter team. Originally from Utah, Nancy has a background as a legal secretary. She has been with Hunter Properties since 1997.

Our newest team member is Nicole Wood joined us in April 2008. Nicole was born and raised in Leucadia, CA where she attended local schools. She is a licensed Real Estate Agent and will be assisting Kelly and Bruce. Nicole will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have.
